Margaret Mary Prohaska
On Thursday January 19th, knowing that she could not live without her Larry, Marge left her earthly home and joined her husband and was reunited in heaven with him. Marge's passing was such a special day as it was not only Larry's 79th birthday, but the 50th anniversary of her dear father's passing. Marge and her father had such a special bond that now they are gardening together and getting the seeds ready for planting. The best birthday gift that Larry could have ever gotten was the presence of his bride in heaven. Before Larry passed away, just 6 days earlier, he told Marge how much he loved her, that she was beautiful and he will see her in heaven. Marge and Larry are now together, never to be apart again. What a beautiful love story. Larry and Marge would have been married 50 years this upcoming September.
Marge was born on March 25th 1936 to Thomas and Margaret Shanahan. She was one of four children and one of three girls. Patricia (Don) was the oldest, then Audrey Shanahan and 16 months later Marge was born. Marge was also blessed and loved by her baby brother Thomas Shanahan. The Shanahan family truly loved each other and cherished each other. Pat, Audrey and Marge were as close as three sisters could ever be. Pat and Marge will always be looking down on their sister Audrey and watching over her. Those three sisters were three peas in a pod.
Marge met the love of her life Larry, and the two were married on September 9th, 1967 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Marge was blessed with two children. John (Barb) Prohaska and Jill (Todd) Potter. Marge loved her children deeply and even stopped working at Allen Bradley to be an at home mom where she made sure John and Jill were always taken care of.
Marge was blessed with three wonderful grandsons who she simply adored. Evan, William and Luciano were blessed to have a wonderful and devoted grandmother in their lives all these years. There wasn't anything she would not do for them.
Marge will be very much missed by her sister Audrey Shanahan and her brother Thomas Shanahan. She was very close to both of them and would often say to always stay close to your brothers and sisters. Marge is now reunited in heaven with her parents, sister Pat and Pat's husband Don as well as her sister in law Judy and Judy's husband Dave.
She leaves behind many other relatives and friends. Marge lived a great life and was always devoted to her faith. Marge had a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother. She was a devoted Catholic and lived a very Christian life.
A very warm thankful to Zilber Hospice Home for taking such great care of our mom.
