Margaret (Margie) Helen Chemerys Nee: Wink October 6th, 1924 ~ May 21st, 2020 Margaret is known as Margie to many. Margie was born in Thorp, Wisconsin to the parents of Albert & Elizabeth Wink. She was one of 11 children being 6th in line. She always said: "I've got 5 siblings above me and 5 siblings below me." She was a petite woman saying it was the hard farm work & carrying heavy milk cans that stunted her growth. Margie went to Pioneer & St. Bernard Schools in Thorp, graduating from High School in 1941. It wasn't long after she headed to the city of Milwaukee, to continue studies. There were classes at both MATC & MIT where she received a College Associate Science Degree (Medical). She worked part time as a childcare giver (nanny) for a private family for income. Margie saw her 1st & favorite movie when in the city; "Blossoms in the Heart," staring Greer Garson. It was a true story about Edna Gladney & how she helped orphaned children. Margie mentioned many times how she would have loved to have been a teacher & an advocate for children.. While in Milwaukee Margie met Dale Duncan Windsor, coincidently he was from Loyal, Wisconsin, a neighboring small town up north near Thorp. They married in October of 1946 and Divorced in September of 1955. Their union blessed Margie with the birth of two children, a Daughter Sherrie Ann & Son Dale Daniel. Margie subsequently met Chiropractor Walter John Chemerys, on Milwaukee's south side (Bay View area.) Doc, as we called him, had his Chiropractic Business Office near her rental apartment. They began dating, had a long engagement and married in April of 1965. They had one son together, blessed with Brian Jonathan. Margie worked as a Medical Secretary at St. Mary's Hospital on Milwaukee's east side from 1960 to 1970. Doc & Margie planted roots buying a home in Bay View, Wisconsin. The home was converted into a front office for Doc to give his Chiropractic adjustments and homestead in the rears. After the birth of Brian, Margie became a full time Mom. She worked at home doing the bookwork & records for Doc and was very involved with the Boy Scout's with Brian. In addition to these responsibilities Margie was active within the Irish Setter Club, prepping & showing their pet dogs, receiving many awards & ribbons. Margie will forever be remembered by her fantastic desserts, homemade cheesecake, apple pies and fresh strawberry pies. Margie did love to bake yet fishing became an activity that was enjoyed whether on their boat or shore side. Dancing was a love of both she & Doc. Margie was a very strong faith filled woman. God has blessed & provided for her during a life that wasn't always easy for her. Positively there were lots of good times she shared with us all. Above all God has blessed Margie with good, loving and caring Family & Friends which carried her to live a valuable & quite full life of 95 years. Margie will truly be missed & always remembered. Embraced by the hands of God… He has welcomed her Home. Chemerys,Margaret (nee Wink). Born to Eternal Life May 21, 2020 at the age of 95. Loving wife of Walter.
