"Lil Lynn"

Passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 29, 2024, at age 45 years old. Loved and adored daughter of Chris and Wayne Nelson. Cherished mom of J'Lynn Johannsen (Age 16). Wife of JJ Johannsen. Beloved sister of the late Michael Nelson. Loving granddaughter of Shirley Nelson. Loving daughter-in-law of Kevin and the late Christine Wierzchowski. Sister-in-law of Jenny (Tyres) Hall, Lori McCulloch, Sherri (Paul) VanPinsker and Krystal (Mike) Evans. Lynnette is also preceded in death by grandparents Melvin Nelson and Peter and Joanne Samplaski. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members, co-workers and friends.

Lynnette was born in Cudahy and raised in Caledonia. She was a 1996 graduate of J.I. Case High School in Racine. In 1999 Lynnette graduated from MATC with her Associates Degree in Business Management. She further her education at Concordia University and graduated in 2001 with her Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering. She was a former employee of Case IH in Racine for 16 years and most recently was an employee for the past 5 years with Yaskawa in Oak Creek.

Throughout her life Lynnette enjoyed spending time with her friends just hanging out and camping. She also enjoyed spending time in Elroy, WI at the family home, being outdoors, fishing with her dad. Throughout her life had many hobbies and interests, including raising therapy dogs, traveling, playing volleyball, chaperoning J'Lynn's field trips, decorating for the holidays and listening to favorite music by Tupac. Her favorite color was purple, animal was the lion and flower the daisy. She will be fondly remembered for her honesty, thoughtfulness, kindness, creativeness, and very strong work ethic.

Memorial visitation at the Funeral Home Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 1-4 PM. Memorial Service with shared memories at 4 PM, you will be welcome to share your thoughts with all. In lieu of flowers/plants, memorials to assist and further J'Lynn's education are greatly appreciated, please direct memorials to Chris Nelson.
