Louis Leo Dura

Born to Eternal Life on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Age 90 years. Beloved husband of Lois for 68 years. Loving father of Laural (Glen) Jaecks, Lucina Dura, Lorena (George) Dura-Klos, Lisa (Russell) Crissey and Lucy (Scott) Reynolds. Cherished grandpa of Lisa, Carissa, Salena, Louis and Nicholas; Joshua, Jordan, Jessica and Jenna; David, Tricia, Curtis and Eric; Scott "Holden" and Lois. Further survived by 19 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Lou was born and raised in Marinette. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Lou spent his entire career working in the elevator industry, retiring Kone Elevators & Escalators of Milwaukee.

Throughout his life Lou enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the family cottage and taking the grandkids on the boat. He loved spending time outdoors and taking a nap on one of the many chairs he had strategically placed in the yard.

The Family will be hosting a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 9:30AM to 11AM at SS. Joseph & Edward Parish, W3308 County Road G., Porterfield, WI 54159. Mass of Christian Burial to follow, at 11AM, with Military Honors to follow.
