(nee Scherer) Went to join her beloved husband, Frank X. Kleczka, on Monday, November 28, 2016, age 88 years. Loving mother of James (Jayne), Lawrence (Sharon) and Frank Kleczka. Dear grandmother of Joshua and Frankie. Special friend of Denise, "her angel". Also survived by other family and friends. Loretta was born October 10, 1928 in Manitowoc County to Joseph and Marie Scherer, she attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 1946. She came to Milwaukee and on June 10, 1950 married Frank X. Kleczka at The Basilica of St. Josaphat. Loretta and Frank operated the Highway Restaurant at 565 E. Lincoln Ave. until 1971. Frank died in 1982. In 1994 Loretta built the River Falls Recreation Center with miniature golf and batting cages in Greenfield. In 1997 she suffered a massive stroke, but overcame her illness and continued to run the business. In 2007 is when Loretta met her dear friend, Denise, who became her personal caregiver. Visitation on Thursday, December 1, 2016, 4:00-8:00 PM, prayer service at 7:00 PM. Funeral on Friday, 11:45 AM from the Funeral Home to THE BASILICA OF ST. JOSAPHAT for Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the Basilica of St. Josaphat are appreciated.
