With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Jean Frahman, who entered eternal life on February 20, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on April 27, 1942, to Walter and Leonne Nessler, Lois was raised with strong values of love, service, and faith that guided her throughout her life.

Lois is survived by her loving husband, William Frahman, and her children: Tammy Neumeister, Sherri Ohly, Nicole Warner, William Frahman, and Brent Frahman (Amanda Virzi). Also survived by her sister- in-laws, Diane and Nancy Nessler, and Lois (Dick) Niemi. She is also cherished and remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family whose lives she touched.

Family and friends are comforted by memories from across her lifetime. As the cool aunt during her youth who drove her nieces and nephews to the movies in the back seat of her convertible, or shenanigans with her cherished circle of girlfriends, she enjoyed spending time with everyone in her life.

Jeanne loved going up to Shell Lake, where 30+ years of family reunions, camping, fishing led to Bill and Jeannie retiring there thirty years ago. Shell Lake was important part of Jeanne’s story, with nickel beers at Klopp’s and shared company brought her happiness.

Many called Jeanne “mom”, as she welcomed her children and grandchildren’s friends into her home. Who constituted as family had no bounds in her world, as all were welcomed. Jeanne has wide assortment of friends that were considered family, who will greatly miss her.

A woman with a heart attuned to children, especially babies, Lois held a special joy for little ones and delighted in nurturing the generations that followed. She was eagerly awaiting the birth of her next great‑grandchild, a blessing she often spoke of with excitement.

Lois was also known for her wonderful sense of humor. She continued to keep her family — along with the beloved staff at the Lutheran Home — laughing with her wit, spunk, and joyful spirit. Her presence made every room warmer.

She treasured her collection of bells, lovingly gathered over the years. Many were gifts from friends and family who brought them back from travels across the country and around the world. Each bell held a story, a memory, and a connection to the people she loved.

Grandchildren and Great‑Grandchildren

Jeannie (as she was known by to many) was deeply proud of her growing family and adored every grandchild, great‑grandchild and great-great grandchild. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and their families. Anthony (Nena) Bieniewski and children: Jackson, Cecilia, Ezio; Joseph Bieniewski and children: Daemon, Carson and his sibling Sam; Elizabeth (Aaron) Schuh and children: Austin and son Hayden, Amira†, Anayah, Alexis, Promise (Amira preceded her great-grandma in death and is now joyfully reunited); Jessica (Mark) Wilson and children: Jack, Elle; Dominic (Paula) Bieniewski expecting baby Owen in April; Michaela (Sean) Neumeister and children: Lucas, Willa; Stephanie (Mitchell) Mansur; Trevor (Caleb) Frahman; Alex (Devayani) Warner; Marissa (Kevin) Frahman; Bryce (Dominik) Fleifel; Kaitlin Frahman; Shawn Frahman; Annelyse Ohly; Carter, Dillon, Aliyah Frahman and their mother Gina.

Each of these precious lives was a source of immense pride, joy, and fulfillment for her.

Family Preceding Her in Death

Lois was preceded in death by her beloved parents and all of her siblings: Wally Nessler, Ruthie Smith and her husband Schmitty, twins sisters Irma and Florence that passed shortly after birth, Joanne Honeck and her husband Jim, Bob (Diane) Nessler, Bill (Nancy), , and Don Nessler.

She was also preceded in death by her precious great‑granddaughter Amira, who now rests safely in her arms. She is reunited with the baby boy she lost before birth in 1970.

Faith & Service

Deep in her faith, Lois was active in her church community, giving freely of her time and heart. At St. Paul’s Cudahy Lutheran Church and School, she served as a Pioneer leader, lunch chef, chauffeur, and cheerleader for her children’s activities. At Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Spooner, she helped organize an annual free rummage sale, ensuring families in need were supported with dignity and compassion.

Her Enduring Legacy

Lois will be remembered for her gentle heart, witty humor, deep compassion, and unwavering devotion to faith and family. Above all, she lived a life defined by service, laughter, generosity, and love.

Though she is no longer physically with us, she will be watching over all of us, her spirit guiding and comforting those who loved her.

Her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
