Lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, June 18, 2005. Age 80 years. Loving husband for 30 years of Eleanor (nee Slack). Dearest father of Barbara (Dave) Bickler and James (Marleen) Rowell. Devoted stepfather of Donna (Dave) Vanness and Nancy (Robert) Mattila. Proud grandfather of Joanne (Jeff) Rogers and David Bickler Jr., Greg (Chris) Vanness, Brian (Missy) Vanness, Scott, Steven, Mark and Kelli Mattila. Loving great-grandfather of Andrea Bickler, Jeffrey Rogers, Michael, Joseph and William Vanness. Brother-in-law of Anne and Dolores Rowell, Jack and Jill Slack. Lloyd is preceded in death by his previous wife Joan, and brothers Orville, Cliff (Dolores) and Bruce Rowell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home WED. 4-7 PM. Funeral Services at 7 PM. Interment THURS 11 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 614 E. Howard Ave. Lloyd was a WWII veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army, ETO with the 88th Blue Devil Division, Operated Standard Oil self service stations and was a retiree of Rank and Son Buick.
