(nee Mandt) Linda Emard, South Milwaukee, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2018, at the age of 80 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Emard, parents, Leland and Larsina, brothers, Lee and Kevin, and sister, Marsha. Dear mother of Lynne (John) Boswell II, Robert (Judy) Emard, Mark (Kelly) Emard, Laurie and Michelle Emard. Loving grandmother of Jason Boswell (Monica), McKenzie Boswell, John (Breanna) Boswell III, Shannon Emard (Stephen), Stephanie and Theresa Emard, Taylor and Mark Emard. Fond sister of Anita Gabbard, Audrey Gresser, Neil Mandt, and Roberta Lee. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Linda grew up on a farm in Thief River Falls, MN, the eldest of eight children. She worked her way through high school and came to South Milwaukee in 1955. She married Robert Emard at St. Johns Catholic Church on February 2, 1957. She worked at Bucyrus-Erie and later at local businesses while raising her children. Linda enjoyed bowling, watching little league games when her children were young, her pets, antiquing, cooking, collecting cookbooks, playing and teaching others pinochle, and family trips throughout the United States. Although Linda raised five children of her own, she was also a second mother to many others. We will miss her big heart and sense of humor. Linda was also a long time member of the American Legion Post #27 Auxiliary. Private family services for Linda will be held. Private interment Forest Hill Memorial Park.
