Fleischmann, Leroy (CMSGT). Born to Eternal Life Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the age of 76. Loving husband of Sally (nee Valdez). Cherished father of Joseph (Maribeth), Gary (Laura), Stacy (Russell) Luzinski and Kristin (Lucas) Greenwald. Beloved Papa of Casey, Isabel, Clara, Lucy, Levi, Elena and Savannah. Brother of Lois (John) Scott, Howard (the late Mary Ann) and Wayne (Nancy). Son of the late Erwin and the late Loretta (nee Kohl). Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Leroy was a caring and compassionate man who put his family and faith first. Everything he did was centered around his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. He always put their needs above his own. His passions included camping, boating and creating memories with his precious family. He could always be seen playing and laughing with the kids. He loved taking them for rides in his 1966 T-Bird.

Leroy was very passionate about his career and service in the United States Air Force, where he spent 33 years of his life and 41 total years of service. He enlisted in 1966 and attended Boot Camp in Amarillo, Texas. After Boot Camp, he was stationed in Norton Air Force Base California, where he met Sally, the love of his life. After marriage, the two of them settled back in Wisconsin, where Leroy continued his career at the 440th airlift wing. Leroy worked in the maintenance squadron until he took a civilian job at Derco Aerospace in 1989 as a Quality Assurance Manager. He continued his service in the reserves and was ordered to active duty in 2003 to support Enduring Freedom (Iraq). Leroy officially retired in 2008.

Leroy loved to fix anything and everything, he had an engineering type mind that allowed him to just understand all the components and how they worked. He would help anyone in need and never ask for anything in return. It was just one of his many gifts.

Visitation Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 9:30AM to 11AM at St. Matthew Parish, 9303 S. Chicago Rd. Mass of Christian Burial to follow, at 11AM. Committal with Military Honors Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 11AM at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St, Union Grove - please meet in the parking lot by 10:45AM.
