Born to eternal life on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, age 94 years. Beloved husband for 74 years to Ruth (nee Quinlan). Preceded in death by his son, Leonard R. Dear brother of Mary Hofmann and Joan Springer. Preceded in death by 11 other siblings. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Leonard graduated from Boys Tech (Bradley Tech HS), where he mastered cabinet making and carpentry trades. He married Ruth Quinlan, his only love, on August 26, 1948 at Sacred Heart Church in St. Francis. Leonard founded Lenard Tool and Machine Inc., in 1968 at the age of 39, developed and designed metal molds for multiple industries including medical, small engine and automotive. This three-generation company is still thriving today under the direction of four of his sons.

Leonard adored spending time with family, vacations to Hilton Head Island, weekends by the pool, lots of warm sunshine, a good cigar, and a glass of whiskey with three garlic stuffed olives.

Visitation to be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, 10:00-11:45 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 7219 S. 27th Street, Franklin. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Entombment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that masks be worn. Leonard's Mass of Christian Burial will be live-streamed, please see below for the link.
