Leona M. Lukaszewski
Born to Eternal Life on Friday, June 19, 2026. Age 99 years. Beloved wife of the late Raymond. Loving mother of Susan Lukaszewski and Barbara Lukaszewski. Preceded in death by her parents Stanley and France Kawczynski, brothers; Wally (the late Theresa) Kawczynski, Edward (the late Virginia) Kawczynski, Eugene (the late Jane) Kawczynski, Raymond (the late Lillian) Kawczynski, sisters; Eleanor (the late Albert) Bertsche, Alice (the late John) Nitka, Evelyn (the late Edward) Stawicki, Rita (the late Richard) Reszel and Florence Kawczynski. Leona is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Leona was born in South Milwaukee and was a graduate of South Division High School. In 1953, Leona married the love of her life Raymond. She went on to become an excellent homemaker and wonderful mother to her two daughters. Leona was a long-term and active member of Immaculate Conception Church in Bay View. She was an avid fan of the Packers and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino (and Vegas).
Her daughters Susan and Barbara would like to thank the caregivers and staffs of Howard Village, Complete Care - Hales Corners and Aurora Zilber Hospice for their tender care and support. A special thank you to all the friends that took time to visit Leona over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Leona's name may be made to Immaculate Conception Parish.
Visitation Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, 1023 East Russell Avenue Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Private interment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
