Lenora Amanda Jennrich was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 24, 1922, to Elsie Agnes Zastrow (Jennrich) and Edwin William Jennrich. She was their only child. She became a child of God at baptism at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. She attended elementary school at St. Stephen's and then graduated from South Division High School. After graduation she became a private secretary for J. W. Trucking Company where she worked until her marriage to Allen Beyersdorf on June 20, 1946. After marriage they joined St. Lucas Lutheran Church. Two children followed, Allen Jr. and Carol. Later she worked as a crossing guard and did office work for Kalmbach Publishing Company. Her hobbies included reading and sending cards and letters. She also loved to travel spending time in California with Allen's family and New Orleans with Carol's family. Other special trips were a trip to Zambia to visit Carol's family in 1982, a trip to Antigua to visit Josh's family and attend a Women of the WELS Convention, and a trip to Colorado to visit Mary's family and Josh's family. She loved spending time with her family. At St. Lucas she was a counselor for the Girls' Club and President of the OWLS (Organization of Wels Lutheran Seniors). After her husband died in 1993 she joined Apostles of Christ Lutheran Church which was nearer to her home. She loved the church and the friends she made there. She was able to stay in her home in Brookfield, Wisconsin, until almost 93 thanks to Pastor Harvey and Georgine Witte, her neighbors Ken and Betty Rasmussen and Ruth and Ken Haberkorn and her cousin Carol Shields. She then moved to Slidell, LA and finally Bay Saint Louis, MS to be closer to her daughter.
Lenora is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Allen and her son Allen Jr. We are sure that Allen and Allen Jr. have been painting pictures and planting flowers to beautify her heavenly mansion. She is survived by her daughter Carol and son-in-law David Sternhagen and daughter-in-law Lisa Beyersdorf. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Matthew and wife Amy Beyersdorf, Heidi Beyersdorf, Andreas Beyersdorf, Joshua and wife Kristin Sternhagen, Mary and husband David Wietzke, Beth and husband Michael Phelps, and Seth and wife Quiana Sternhagen. And seventeen great grandchildren, Jacob and William Beyersdorf; Hannah, Isaac, Rachel and Judah Sternhagen; Andrew, Stephen, Adam and Joanna Wietzke; Sarah, Leah, Michael, and Anna Phelps; and Alexandria, Elijah, and Noah Sternhagen.
