Yes! Live! Life's a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death! Auntie Mame 1958 (Lee's favorite Quote)
"Life is an adventure meant to be ventured- so get venturing!" Lee O'Brien
Lee was born Leila Mae Swanson on July 30th, 1928. She redefined herself in the early 1970's to Lee S. O'Brien; a day of birth and one could say, another day of re-birth. Lee, quite simply is Lee, S is for her forever love and respect of her parents, Edward and Lillie Swanson, and O'Brien is for her greatest joys in life and according to Lee, by far her best accomplishments: "The Cream in my coffee", Erin, Shannon and Meegan- her daughters.
Lee is survived by her daughters: Erin O'Brien, Shannon O'Brien (Kelly Mattox), Meegan O'Brien-Dzieminski (Michael); her grandsons; Daniel Macintosh, Edward McIntosh (Tia Lange), Joseph O'Brien (Amy), Nathaniel Koch and Nicholas (Renee)Sjoblom; her great grandchildren, Leila Koch, Charlotte "Charlie" Koch, Tyler Sjoblom, Thomas (TJ)Sjoblom, and Finleigh Rose O'Brien. Lee is also survived by her sister Iris Clements & Glorietta Huddle and many nephews and nieces and dear friends.
In the early years mom directed Theatre, Cabaret and Playhouse productions. She loved a good martini and a Grand Piano to accompany her in song. In her later years she found success in Real Estate and was an instrumental part of Accurate Transmission Services growth & success.
Lee will join her parents, Edward & Lillie Swanson, her sister, Heloise Hunt, her nephew, Randy Hunt and son-in-law Tyler Sjoblom.
Lee was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Auntie Lee (or Auntie Mame) lived her life proudly, with originality, a great wit, sense of humor, passion, generosity and love. She will be missed beyond words and within our hearts forever. She was 'One of a kind'
Per Lee's request- there will be a private service- in lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated and will be distributed to Lee's chosen charities.
