Obituary

Larry "King of the Gypsies" Oleson South Milwaukee-Died peacefully at home, surrounded by many loved ones on April 27, 2021. Larry was born in Milwaukee on August 15, 1951 to parents, Rodney L. Oleson and Marjorie (nee Pratt). He met the love of his life, Mary Ellen (nee Migawa) at age 21 when they began their 48 year journey together. He was admired and cherished by his children, Justin (Jessica) and Mannon and looked up to by his grandson and "Best Buddy", Nathan and granddaughters Lilliana Grace "Sugar Plum" and Lorna Marie. Larry was a talented artist, cook and master craftsman, who worked hard his whole life. His open heart and work ethic will forever be remembered by everyone who knew him. Larry is survived by his fabulous sisters, Cindy Maigon (Rolly) and Jodi (Patrick), his wonderful sister-in-law, Sandy and all of his nieces and nephews, whom he was always so proud of and their families. A special thank you to his "other mother", Bernie Dahlgren, thank you for always keeping an eye on them Oleson Kids, we love you! Also, much gratitude to the staff of Compassus Hospice for their compassion and care for Larry and his family. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Craig and Randy and sister, Sharon. Memorial Gathering and celebration at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, 4:00-7:00 PM.
