LaRone R. Gilbert (nee Husome) passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 30, 2026, age 82 years. We remember and celebrate a remarkable woman whose life was defined by quiet strength, deep love, and a spirited sense of humor that could light up any room.

She was a devoted wife (the late Barry Gilbert), a loving mother (Michelle Gilbert and Jason (Jill) Gilbert), and a cherished grandmother (Jay, Jordan and Taylor) who created a home filled with warmth, care, and unforgettable moments. Her family was always at the center of her world, and she showed her love not just in words, but in the countless thoughtful ways she cared for those around her.

She had a passion for art and a deep appreciation for fine food, bringing both together through her incredible talent in the kitchen. An amazing cook, she expressed creativity and love through every meal she prepared-each dish a reflection of her care and attention. She was also an avid reader, always finding comfort, inspiration, and adventure within the pages of a good book.

Though she was a private person, those who knew her well were lucky enough to experience her fun, feisty sense of humor-a spark that made her uniquely unforgettable. Her wit, strength, and quiet grace left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family.

In keeping with LaRone's wishes, private family services were held. If desired, memorial donations to your local public library or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
