Obituary

Kermit entered into Gods loving arms on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the age of 89. Kermit was born on May 31, 1929 to Leona (nee Harder) and George Schmeiser in Chilton, Wisconsin. Kermit completed grades 1-8 and stayed in Chilton, WI living with grandparents while his family moved to Sheboygan after his father lost their family farm, due to the Depression. Kermit moved to Sheboygan and graduated high school from North High on June 6, 1945. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Virginia (nee Bashaw) Ginny Schmeiser. He is the proud father of Leigh Schmeiser, Kurt (Diane) Schmeiser, and Nadine (Dan) Titze. Cherished grandpa of Michael (Jeanne) Emmrich, Philip, Joel, Betsy, and Sarah Schmeiser, Brian Titze, Phillip (Marissa) Huff and DeAnna Huff. Cherished great-grandpa of Brianna, Abby, Tyler Emmrich, Ashton Bane, Ryker Huff and Cayden Burns. Much loved brother of Jerry (Sue) Schmeiser, and Yvonne (Harold) Gorr. Kermit is reunited with his daughter Maxine and siblings Glorian Gordon and Dick Schmeiser. Further survived by other family and many friends. Kermit was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Central Intelligence Corps (CIC) during the Korean War. He was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oak Creek since 1976 serving as an elder, usher, and Stephen minister. Kermit retired as a baker from Ph. Orth Co. after 36 years of service. A special thank you to all the wonderful nurses on D-3 at St. Lukes Medical Center for their loving care. Visitation on SATURDAY, December 15, 2018 from 10:00AM-1:00PM at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH 3381 E. Puetz Rd. Oak Creek. Funeral Services followed by military honors at 1:00 PM. Interment services for Mr. Schmeiser will take place Monday, December 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler, Wisconsin. Please meet at the cemetery chapel at 12:45 PM.
