IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kelly P.
Ambrose Sr.
June 7, 1944 – December 25, 2023
Reunited with the love of his life, Nancy (nee Kearney), on Christmas Day, December 25, 2023, at the age of 79. Father to Mollie (Jon) Newcomb, Kelly Jr., and Dillon (Molly). Grandfather to Connor, Josephine, Maura, Katherine "Kitty," Jack, Erin, Kathleen, Mary, Evelyn, and Archibald. Survived by sister Maureen Gordon, and many, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by brother Michael Ambrose, sister-in-law Sharon Ambrose, brother-in-law Hank Gordon, brother-in-law Tom Gahagan, brother-in-law Gary Sutton, and nephew Mike Stulir.
He spent his last evening with all of his grandkids, eating prime rib and pork, drinking wine and port, and joining in general silliness. He was in his element, sat at the head of the table, quoting Ogden Nash, which he had repeated hundreds of times...like all of his stories.
"The pig, if I am not mistaken,
Supplies us sausage, ham and bacon,
Let others say his heart is big--
I call it stupid of the pig."
When he was at his happiest, with his family, he would claim to channel Nancy. He did so Christmas Eve, and she called him home for Christmas, which will be his happiest Christmas in 23 years.
