IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen Lynn
Moe
April 11, 1961 – June 12, 2025
Karen (Hundt) Moe joined her ancestors on June 12, 2025. She lived her life guided by the example set by her parents-quiet acts of kindness, compassion, and service. Known lovingly to many as "Mamma Moe," she was always ready with whatever help she could offer-be it a listening ear, school supplies, a meal, a ride, or simply a wake-up call. She believed that God works through all of us, and she considered herself just one of many helpers in the world.
Karen found joy in her family, friends, and chosen family. Her life was enriched by the unconditional love of the many pets who shared her journey. She found peace and renewal in nature, especially at her beloved Lake Gogebic, a sacred place she believed her ancestors entrusted to her.
Curious and passionate, Karen loved learning, reading, cooking, history, music, travel, animals, and thoughtful political engagement. She explored the U.S. and traveled abroad, always seeking connection and understanding.
Karen is survived by her siblings Connie, Christine, and Paul; and by the greatest gifts of her life-her children, Beth and Brandon-whom she mothered with unwavering love and dedication.
