Karen Marie Hansen (nee Kolata) Karen was called Home to peacefully lie down in greener pastures on May 7, 2020 . Age 70 years. Beloved wife of the late Scott Hansen. Loving mom of Sherry (Allan) Foeckler and Brian Zalewski. Cherished grandma of A.J., Brennan, Lukas, Samuel and Marley Foeckler; Gabriella and Zachary Zalewski. Dear sister of Jerome Kolata, Kathleen, Karyl and the late James Kolata Dear sister-in-law of Jeanne Brossard. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Karen graduated from Greenfield High School in 1967. Throughout her working career, Karen worked for several law offices in both Wisconsin and Florida. Many wonderful Christmas' were spent with her children soaking up the sun while visiting her parents in New Port Richey, Florida. She loved to travel and found special joy in going on cruises to tropical destinations. Karen spent most of her time with her late husband, Scott, and her 7 grandkids. Karen was blessed to be able to relocate in retirement and was proud to call Port St. Lucie, Florida home. She found a new passion for golf in her final years, making many new friends at the PGA Village at Verano. She loved the sun and starting each day with a cup of coffee sitting out on her lanai. Also, Karen's family would like to thank the team at the Froedtert Cancer Center who helped her thrive throughout her courageous journey. Private services will be held.
