Karel immigrated to the United States from the former Yugoslavia in 1956 and met his beloved Elia at her familys neighborhood grocery store in Walkers Point. They married in 1959. Karel retired from 30 plus years as an electrician for Lemberg Electric and a faithful International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers member. As a retiree, he stayed busy volunteering to do electrical work for many Milwaukee and Wisconsin projects, such as the Denis Sullivan Schooner and Old World Wisconsin. He enjoyed most the company of family, friends and neighbors. He was especially skilled at fixing anything that broke, and his many family members and friends benefitted from his real world talents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or St. Augustine of Hippo Parish.
