Julia A. Hutchinson "Ms. Hutch" at the age of 75 left us for the arms of God on November 3, 2023. Those who knew her will remember Hutch for her love of animals, continual support of those in need and dedication to serving others.

Hutch shared her life with special friends Judy Birlem, Wendy and Antonio Lopez and her adopted grandchildren: Melissa, Jonathon, Luisa, Fabiola, and Nonito. Preceded in death by parents, Dwight and Ida Hutchinson. Survived by sisters Margo Shinn, Carolyn English and many nieces/nephews (especially Matthew and Holly English), cousins and friends.

Ms. Hutch's goal in life was simply to help others. She retired as Captain in the US Army, Civil Affairs, after 20 years of service. Ms. Hutch had a long and successful career as a teacher and school administrator, notably at St. Adalbert Parish School. She was a longtime Associate member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy. Her retirement years were spent in assistance as a tutor, driver and mentor to youth.

Her passion for rural life, camping, her love of pets, wildlife and birds was well known. She introduced many to participate in her interests of all sorts of sports, puzzles, games, basket weaving, gardening, and home repairs. Her friends benefited from her specially requested 'fruit pies', book titles and stories from her worldwide travels.

Visitation Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 4PM to 6PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Vigil Service to follow at 6PM. Additional Visitation Friday, November 10, 2023 from 11AM to 12Noon at ST. ALPHONSUS PARISH, 6060 W. Loomis Rd. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12Noon. Interment Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2PM at CLIO CEMETERY, 1495 Hwy J54, Clio, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in her honor to ASPCA.
