Judith (Judy) Anne Jopke, age 78, of St. Francis, WI passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 10th, 2024.

Judy was born in Milwaukee to Marie and Jan Krelowicz on April 17th, 1946. She lived in Bay View until she married her adoring husband, Lawrence (Larry) Jopke on February 4th, 1966. Judy had a lengthy career starting as a nurse, working at Fine-Lando Clinic in Cudahy, and ending her career at Boston Store in Milwaukee.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Jan Krelowicz, her aunt and Godmother, Bernice Hernigle, and her son, Michael Jopke.

Judy is survived by her husband, Larry Jopke; son Peter (Angie) Jopke; daughter Lisa (Steve) Hurley; daughter-in-law Lea Jopke; grandsons Jordan Jopke, Ethan Hurley, Henry Hurley, and Gavin Jopke; and granddaughters Jessica Jopke and Gabriella Jopke.

Judy is fondly remembered for her love of fashion, her sense of humor, and her ability to develop life-lasting friendships. Her infectious laughter and bright personality captured the attention of everyone she met. Judy could talk to anyone and often ended up in lively conversations with people she had just met. Family was a priority for Judy. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life of spending time with family and friends, dining out, gambling, traveling, going to the farmer's market, and other adventures.

Judy's family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, the staff and caregivers at Heritage Square Health Care Center, and all others who touched her life in meaningful ways.

Memorial visitation at the Funeral Home Thursday, May 2, 2023 from 4-6 PM. Memorial service at 6 PM.
