"Joe"

Passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of 96 years. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Joan (nee Rechliz). Loving father of Joseph J. (the late Jeanie) Bucher and Rebecca A. (the late Joseph) Bucher Schmidt. Devoted grandpa of Matthew (Paige) J. Schmidt and Lily P. Bucher. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Joe was a proud US Army Veteran. He was an active member of the American Legion following his Military Service. He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, and traveling with his family. Joe loved to bowl, especially with his beloved wife Joan. He was a man of simple pleasures. Little things like coffee and donuts made Joe happy. He thoroughly enjoyed chocolate chip cookies that his daughter Becky made and butter-pecan ice cream. Joe's son, Joe would take Joe for drives along lake Michigan from Bender Park down to Bradford Beach. Joe was a history buff and he took a special interest in World War 2 after he lost his brother Billy in the war. Joe had a special bond with his grandson Matt. Joe will be deeply missed by Matt and all of his family and friends.

Memorial Visitation at the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 PM.
