Jonathan Stavros Zeppos Fell asleep to the Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2016. Age 64 years. Most cherished husband of Kathleen (nee Ponzi) Loving brother of Evan (Adina) Zeppos and Nicholas (Lydia) Zeppos. Dear uncle of Alexis Peterson, Cristina Zeppos; Benjamin and Nicholas H. Zeppos. Dear great-uncle of Alexander. Treasured brother-in-law of Janet (Joseph) Welch, Karen (Richard) Nowak, Gerald (Jill) Ponzi, James (Susan) Ponzi and Joan Ponzi (Tony Gelhaar) and Gregory (Mona) Ponzi. Beloved cousin of Evonne Winston M.D. (Paul Nausieda M.D.), Paula (Joseph) Gaspie and Tina Winston Ph.D. Jon is preceded in death by his parents Stavros and Hope Zeppos and is further survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, August 1, 2016 from 4-7 PM. Trisagion at 5:00 PM. Visitation also Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 9:30 -10 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 9400 W. Congress St. Funeral Service at 10 AM, Rev. Father John Ketchum officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Jon was a 1970 graduate of Bay View High School and a 1974 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison. He was a proud U.A.W. retiree from Chrysler / American Motors. After retirement he worked as a librarian at the Cudahy Family Library. Jon was a lifelong learner who had a passion for playing classical guitar and reading any good book. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jon's name may be made to the Cudahy Family Library Endowment Fund.
