IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jon Eric
Dirksen
April 12, 1968 – January 11, 2026
Memorial Service
Faith Baptist Church
11:00 am - 12:00 pm (Central time)
Jon "Eric" Dirksen Born to eternal life on Sunday, January 11, 2026, aged 57 years. Beloved husband of Tess (nee Gabriel). Loving father of Jonathan Dirksen. Cherished son of Roger and Regina Dirksen. Dear brother of Julie Dirksen. He is preceded in death by his grandparents John and Eugenia Bevins.
Eric was born in Illinois and entered the Dirksen family as the much-loved son of Roger and Regina Dirksen, joined shortly after by his sister, Julie. He grew up primarily in Whitefish Bay Wisconsin and distinguished himself as a popular and diligent student at Vanguard School in Lake Wales FL, and later studying Public Administration at the University of the Ozarks, where he earned his BA in 1992. He loved spending time at lake cabins with family and visiting his grandparents in Chicago and Florida. While a student, summers found him working hard as part of road construction crews at Payne and Dolan. His family has vivid memories of him coming home covered head to toe in tar and asphalt.
After college, he found his life-long career in technology administration and support for companies like Entre Computer/PDS, and in his most recent role as the person keeping all the technology going for different casinos’ bingo halls across the Midwest.
His greatest joy was his family. His beloved wife, Tess, was his best friend and they were devoted to each other, and his proudest accomplishment was being a dad to his son Jonathan.
He was a passionate life-long fan of music – his favorites were Eric Clapton, Rush and Van Halen – and of science fiction franchises like Star Trek. His love of the Green Bay Packers found an outlet in his local fantasy football league. He was a good friend to all who knew him and was always ready to do anything he could to help if a friend had a need.
Eric passed away after a series of health complications on January 11, 2026. Services will be held at Faith Baptist Church on April 11, 2026, at 8519 South 13th Street, Oak Creek, WI at 11:00am.
