Born to eternal life at Zablocki VA Medical Center on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, age 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Margo Jean (nee Page). Loving Dad of Jean (Thaddeus) Pelzek, Mary (Mark) Martel, Helen (the late Pat) Culver, Lucy Vugrinovich and the late Anne (the late Allen) Luepke.
Loving Grandpa to Adam (Aidee), Kevin, Aaron (Laura), Natasha (David), Hanna, Ian, Elizabeth, Jesse and Cameron. Proud Great-Grandpa to Emma, Leah, Aldo, Kaylib, Lily and Aly. Dear Brother of Sr. Kathleen Vugrinovich, the late Joseph Vugrinovich Jr. and Brother-in-law of Nancy O'Connor. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and lots of friends from his various organizations.
John had a strong belief in servitude leadership, serving his church, his country, and his community. He served in the Air Force and is a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. John was a graduate of UW-Madison earning a degree in Electrical Engineering.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and was an usher for many years. He served the community of St. Francis, as an alderman for 20 years, and as a dedicated charter member of the St. Francis Lions Club. He loved the city of St. Francis! Most Friday nights you would find John at the community center volunteering his time and enjoying the company of his St. Francis family.
Memorial Visitation on Thursday, May 13, 2021, 9:30-10:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 3635 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., St. Francis, Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM. Private inurnment at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
