Born to eternal life on February 1, 2009, age 78 years. Beloved husband for 54 years of Rosemary (nee Borkenhagen). Dear father of Sharon (Bob) Adair, John Jr. (Linda) Snyder, Patricia (James) Meier, and Sandra (Mark) Stommel. Proud grandfather of Ezra Snyder, William (Feyza) Turinske, Christopher Meier and Stephanie Snyder. Also survived by one sister, Mary (Bruce) Barry. Preceded in death by two brothers Carl and Lewis "Lew" Snyder, and four sisters, Rosemary, Ann, Agnes and Elizabeth "Renie". Further survived by other relatives and many friends. John was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Milwaukee Police Department for 13 years and was a retiree of Caterpillar after 17 years, he then retired from the Wisconsin Center District after 25 years of service.
