Passed away at home on Saturday, May 17, 2008 age 65 years, with his loving wife, companion and best friend for 31 years, Susan, beside him. John fought a courageous battle with various illnesses and succumbed to kidney disease and liver cancer. Son of the late Dorothy and Chester Omernick. Step- brother of Robert (Vicky) Omernick. Son-in-law of Fred and Clara Wiechowski. Brother-in-law of James (Judy) and Clarence "Ebba" (Jill) Wiechowski. Favorite nephew of Frances Cooper. Cousin of Francine (Don) Werlinger. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Memorial gathering at the Funeral Home THUR May 22nd 5-7 PM. Services at 7 PM followed by Military Honors. John was a proud US Marine Corps Veteran, retiree of Rexnord Mfg. after 37 years and member, serving in various capacities of Steel Workers Local #1527.
