Died peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, June 29, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (nee Kawczynski). Special "Grandfather" of Lynn Meidam. Dearest Uncle to Daniel Bruckner, Carol (Michael) McGee, Anna Christine, Christopher Daniel, Kathryn Claire, Matthew Michael and Elizabeth Rose. Special sweetheart and longtime companion of Maria Olender. Further survived by other nieces and nephews, other family and friends. John was a retired technician with the Milwaukee Railroad, a United States Army veteran serving in the Asiatic Theatre receiving a bronze star and was also a life member of AMVETS Post #27.
