Obituary

Gruil, John G. "Uncle John" Died April 13, 2013. age 93. John was born August 27, 1919. The youngest of 7 children to John and Carolina Gruil(nee Alles) He is preceded in death by his 6 sisters and 6 brothers in law, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Special uncle and hunting buddy to John, Bob, Myrl Koehler and three nephews and four nieces. Also survived by other relatives and friends. John was a lifetime member of Christ Church U.C.C. and a very patriotic veteran of WWII where he served 4 years in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Carpenters Local 1053, and a lifetime member of the Cudahy Gun Club, winning many 1st place trophies and awards. He loved fishing on Lake Michigan and hunting around Wisconsin for all wild game. Visitation on Thursday, April 18, from 5:30-7. Funeral services at 7PM. Private interment at Highland Memorial Park. A special thanks to Betsy and Kim and his thoughtful neighbors; Dave and Judy Freda, the staffs of Creek Side Terrrace, Stowell Associates and Seasons Hospice that took good care of John, making him comfortable and allowing him to die with dignity.
