Found Eternal Peace on December 18, 2021 at the age of 85 with his family by his side. Survived by his loving wife Anita (nee Sem) of 57 years. Beloved father of Mark and Heidi Grassberger. Special Papa to Jared (Alexandra) Grassberger and "Great Papa" to Jason. Dear brother-in-law to Marianne Sem. Special uncle to Carl, Mickey and Nickie Kurtagic, Carolyn (John) Schepple, Roxanne (Craig) Evans and Rusty Sem. Also survived by great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Josef and Maria (nee Paseka), his sister Katherine (the late Carlo) Kurtagic and brother Frank. Joe was a proud veteran in the United States Army. He worked in the printing industry for 31 years, was an accomplished accordionist and loved to travel. But most of all, his greatest love was for his family. Visitation will be SATURDAY, January 8, 2022 from 9 AM until time of Mass at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Parish, 917 N. 49th St, Milwaukee. Military Honors to follow.
