(Nee Nowakowski) Born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Age 86 years. Beloved wife and best friend for 68 years of David Kuspa. Cherished mom of Michael (Linda) Kuspa, Mark (Mary) Kuspa, Robert (the late Pamela) Kuspa and John Kuspa. Loving grandma of Gregory Kuspa and Steven (Jennifer) Kuspa; Dalton (Bin) Kuspa and Jaclyn (Clayton) McCabe; Sydney (Shawn) Smith and Emily (Jacob) Jewell; Hayden Kuspa and Sophia Kuspa. Treasured great-grandma of Madelyn and Scarlett; Brooklyn and Chloe; Marin; Benjamin and Bo; Nora. Dear sister of the late Norbert (the late Catherine) Nowakowski. Sister-in-law of the late Dennis (Alice) Kuspa, Martin (the late Suzanne) Kuspa and Patrick Kuspa. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends.
Joan was born and raised in Milwaukee. She was a 1955 graduate of Notre Dame High School. Her and David married in November 1956. They were longtime members of St. Barbara Catholic Church. Along with raising four boys Joan worked part-time for the Milwaukee Public School System and was a consultant for Avon. Throughout her life Joan actively exercised and took excellent care of her physical health. She was a member for over 20 years at Southridge Health and Racquet Club and Innovative Health and Fitness in Franklin. It was there that she made friends with scores of people of all ages many of those relationships stood the test of time, especially with dear friends Arnold and the late Jean Heling. In the last few years Joan formed many wonderful friendships with other residents of The Waters of Oak Creek.
Joan will be remembered and deeply missed for her generous spirit. She was an inspiration to her family and many friends. The time she spent with friends walking, talking, laughing and crying one thing constant was her love for her family.
Her family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the caregivers and staff at The Waters of Oak Creek, St. Luke's South Shore Hospital and Aurora Zilber Family Hospice.
Memorial Visitation Saturday, January 18, 2024 from 9 AM - 11 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 7219 S. 27th St. Franklin. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Private inurnment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
