Jordan, Joan T. Of Franklin, formerly of Hillsboro, went off duty for the final time on March, 28, 2006. Joan was born September 27, 1935 and is preceded in death by her eternal dance partner, Thomas R. Jordan and parents, John F. and Martha V Sinkule. Joan was most proud of her role as wife, mother and grandmother but her calling in life was that of a Registered Nurse. Joan started her 50 year career in nursing as a proud graduate of St. Francis Diploma school of Nursing in 1956. The nursing community in Wisconsin is a small one and one of the many things that Joan will be remembered for most is the mentoring and molding of new nurses. Joan believed "to nurse is to teach". Joan's basic principles and nursing foundations were of these…"To advocate for all patients with compassion and dignity above all else". Joan was blessed with 5 children; Jacqueline J. (Jeff) Lucas-Jordan, Janine J. Jordan, Thomas J. (Bonnie L. Albrecht) Jordan, Timothy H. Jordan and Jennifer J. (Thomas) Marcotte. And only grandchild Jessica M. Lucas and 'grams' to Emily and Josh Albrecht, and her siblings John (Rosemary) Sinkule, Rose (Francis) King, Jo (Lloyd) Scheide, Frank (Sandy) Sinkule, Jim (Nancy) Sinkule as well as numerous family and friends.
