Found peace on December 18, 2025 at the age of 81. Loving husband of the late Jennie (nee Jones). Devoted father of Kris (Greg ) and Patrick. Beloved "Gpa" of Hannah (Ben), Sydney (Matthew). Brother of Linda (Leonard), Susan, Steve, Stanley (Amelia); the late Gloria (the late Bob), Cliff (Joan), Lester, Mike and Marty. Brother-in-law of Sue Ellen. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, former co-workers at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Walworth County EMS family, and friends.Jim was born in Watertown, South Dakota and moved to Delavan, Wisconsin when he was nine years old. He graduated from Delevan-Darien High School in 1962 and married Jennie in February of 1965. He worked at La Tour de Bois at The Abbey Resort in Fontana, Wisconsin until 1988 when he received his nursing degree. He began his career at Lakeland Medical Center in January 1989 in the ICU for two years and continued his career in the Emergency Room until his retirement in February 2010. He and Jennie loved to travel to Cancun every year to celebrate their anniversary. Jim loved to swim in the Caribbean. Jim's passion was to help people, and provide the best care possible as a nurse and an EMT -- he took great pride in his work. He was an active and instrumental member of the Walworth Rescue Squad and Elkhorn Area Fire Department for decades. Jim loved to ride his motorcycle. He loved all kinds of music, and taught himself to play the guitar. He loved to garden, and took great pride in his lawn. He loved his family, especially his two granddaughters. Jim taught us all the value of one's word, being reliable and one's work ethic. He was truly one of a kind, and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Private Family Services were held.
Memorials, if so desired, may be made to the Elkhorn Area Fire Department in Jim's name.
