Brylow, Jerome T. "Jerry" Born to eternal life on Monday, March 16, 2009, age 73 years. Much loved and cherished husband of Elaine (nee Ostrowski) for 49 years. Extremely proud father of Brian (Peggy). Devoted grandfather of Nicholas and Ashley. Loving great-grandfather to his precious Little Tally, who brought him so much joy in the last two and one-half years. Further survived by his brother John (the late Sally) Brylow, Chris (Karen) Brylow, his sister Mary Schaefer and his step-brother Rick (Jean) Brylow. Preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Esther Brylow and brothers Lawrence and William Brylow. He will be deeply missed by his wonderful goddaughter Kim (Cory) Niesen and his favorite little girl Hannah. Best friend for fifty years of Marcy (the late Jim) Elick of Indianapolis. Also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation at the Funeral Home Thursday, March 19, 9-11:30 AM. Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Private entombment at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
Jerry was a retiree of Central Steel and Wire and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a huge railroad, fire engine and NASCAR fan.
A special thank you to Dr. Glen Liu and Chris Fierebend RN of Phase I at The Paul Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center at UW Hospital-Madison. Also Dr. Jacob Frick, Dr. Glenn Ragalie, Cass Mullen RN and the staff at Zilber Family Hospice, especially Pauline, Chrissy, Mary and Katherine for their tender care and support for Jerry and our family during his final stay. In addition, we would like to thank Julianne of VNA Home Hospice for your care and genuine concern and lastly to Roger and Joan for spending "Tuesdays with Jerry" during the Last two years.
He was the eternal optimist and always said everyday he put his feet on the floor was a good day.
