Hoppe, Jerome E. "Hop" MSgt. USAF (Ret.) 128th Air Refueling Wing, Wisconsin Air National Guard. Born to Eternal Life on Friday, April 30, 2010. Age 81 years. Beloved husband of the late Donna M. Hoppe. Cherished father of Linda (Craig) Lucas, Thomas (Monica) and Robb (Wendy) Hoppe. Treasured "Bumpa" to Austin (Kim) Chisholm, Cynthia (Brian) Shekoski, Melissa (Fianc Andrew Meerkins), Allison, Chase and Bryce Hoppe. Adored great-grandfather of Morgan, Carson, Jaicee and Trevor. Dear brother of Margaret Chuitch. Brother-in-law of Pat (Kathy) Stoner, Mary and Carrie Hoppe. Preceded in death by his parents Otto and Frances and brothers Francis and Rudolph. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Visitation TUESDAY, May 4, 2010 from 3-5 PM at PRINCE OF PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4419 S. Howell Ave. Funeral services at 5 PM with a reception to follow at Klemmer's Banquet Center 10401 W. Oklahoma Ave. MSgt. Hoppe began his military career in the U.S. Army serving his country during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he began a 33 year career in the Wisconsin Air National Guard (WANG). At the conclusion and as the result of distinguished service, "Hop" was inducted in the WANG Hall of Fame, an honor given to few enlisted personnel.
