Jerome "Jerry" John Gorski (96) was born to Eternal Life on March 23, 2026. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Jannetto). Jerry is survived by his loving wife Mary Gorski, Children Donna (Doug) Krystowiak, Jerry (Terry) Gorski, Mary (Jorge) Roca, and brother Stanley (Nancy) Gorski. He was a loving father of 4 Kids, and proud "Papa" of 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Hedwig Gorski, in-laws Joe and Emily Jannetto, daughter Lynn Wagner, and son-in-law's Dave Wagner, Rick Wolniakowski and Brad Unmack.

Jerry was born on July 9, 1929, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He was one of 10 children and had fond memories of his mom's cooking and playing with his siblings as young kids. Jerry graduated from Boy's Tech in 1947 and was active in sports including football and Basketball, where he was apart of the 1945-46 City Championship basketball team.

In 1945, at the age of 16, Jerry was playing basketball on the Forest Home Playground when a young girl stopped to watch. Jerry asked if he could walk her home; and from there a love story blossomed. Jerry and Mary were wedded on July 14, 1951.

Shortly thereafter, Jerry was drafted into the Army where he took pride in the work he completed as a Solider and eventually ranked as a 2nd Lieutenant. His leadership skills were developed and carried over into his work ethic upon returning home. Jerry worked several jobs but was most notably known for his managerial work with Kohls Food Stores, an insurance agent with Travelers Insurance, and a founding member of St. Roman Parish (bus driver, janitor, and helped plan the 1st-ever festival).

Jerry was heavily involved at St Augustine of Hippo parish through the years as a reader, eucharistic minister, CCD instructor and coordinating festivals and fish fries. He belonged to many groups such as Catholic Order of Foresters, Cursillo and volunteered his time at events including Polish Fest and Festa Italiana. Jerry was a one-of-a-kind guy that could captivate an audience anywhere he went.

Upon his retirement, Jerry was known to be the man watering the grass. He loved to be outside, checking the garden or putzing with projects around the house (or on ladders). Some may even say the term "jerry-rigging" started with him.

Spending 80 years together, Jerry and Mary are known to be the heart of the family. Their love has inspired many. Jerry was a true family man that would stop at nothing to help his loved ones. Whether it was hosting Sunday spaghetti dinners, large holiday parties, or traveling cross-country with a van-full of grandkids, Jerry was at the center of it all. His family was his world.

He will be fondly remembered for his love, life lessons and silly songs!

Private memorial will be held by family. Further funeral arrangements will be held at a future date as Mary wanted to be publicly celebrated together with the love of her life.
