Obituary

Found peace on Friday, May 29, 2015, age 90 years. Beloved husband for 62 years to Dolores (nee Splinter). Loving dad of Karen Berns, Gary Berns, Susan (Michael) Castro and the late Linda Maczka. Proud grandpa of Kim (Gary) Schultz, Kelly Otto, Troy (Mary) Otto, Eric (Maria) Maczka, Robyn (Robb) Ellicson, Elizabeth Castro and Emily (Matthew) Johnson. Dear great-grandpa of Dominic, Ella and Jake. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II at the D-Day Invasion at Normandy, Rhineland and the Ardennes. He also served and retired from the U.S. Air Force WANG with the 128th Air Re-fueling Group and was a member of the 348th Army Engineers Combat BN Associates. After his military career Jerry worked and retired from the Wisconsin Gas Company. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Interment with military honors on Wednesday, 11:00 AM at Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. are appreciated.
