July 22, 1948 – December 17, 2024
World traveler and avid Packers fan, Jean Louise Schmitz passed away on
Tuesday, December 17 th at the age of 76. Jean was devoted to her friends
and family, and generous with her time and love. She spent her life
bringing everyone to tears with laughter and those stories will live on to do
the same. Jean traveled to an incredible 77 countries and is ready to
continue cheering on the Packers to another Super Bowl in 2025.
Jean is survived by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by
living their lives to the fullest: sisters Mary Joyce Ziemer and Susan
Schmitz (Michael Rowe), brother Michael Schmitz, sister-in-law Pamela
Schmitz, adored nieces and nephews Chris Ziemer (Elayna Nacci Ziemer),
Lisa Ziemer (Rachelle Omenson), Erica Schmitz, Andy Schmitz, Stephanie
Schmitz (Beth Howard), Chiara Ziemer, Freddy Hardnett Jr; beloved dog,
Jasper. Reunited in death with parents John and Bette Schmitz and brother
John Schmitz.
Although Jean is gone, she will live in our hearts forever - wearing leopard
print and decorating the afterlife with floral arrangements and creative craft
projects.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 4 th from 10am-noon
at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home 3275 S. Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, WI.
