Janice M. Higgins (nee Martens) Died peacefully at home surrounded by the ones she loved on Thursday, November 26, 2020. Age 71 years. Beloved wife and best friend for 40 years of Donald Higgins. Loving mom of Laura Higgins and Sean Higgins. Cherished nana of Isla and Violet. She is preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Violet, sister Joy and many faithful furry friends. She is also survived by dear family friend Katie Varisco, other relatives and friends. Jan was a teacher's assistant for more than 30 years at Jeremiah Curtin School in Milwaukee. She loved her family of coworkers and students there. She loved her grandchildren immensely and immersed herself in their lives. Jan also loved the outdoors and all animals domestic and wild.
