Began a new journey on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, age 60 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Lorraine Jacobs. Beloved son of Martha Sadowski. Fond brother of Barbie, Frank (Sharon), Pat (Jim) Matel, Dorothy Sanders, Martha (Will) Murray, Elizabeth (Ray) Rusin and preceded in death by his brother Michael and Ethel. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A celebration of Jay's life will be held on SUN, Feb. 24, 2-4 PM in the Humboldt Park Pavilion, 3000 So. Pine Avenue. A time of reflection and memories will be at 2:30 PM. Jay was a U.S. Navy veteran. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated.
