IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Alan
Miller
May 13, 1962 – August 12, 2023
James A. Miller passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 with his family and longtime companion, Cathy Rebman, by his side. Jim was born on Mother's Day, May 13th, 1962 in Milwaukee, WI. He is the son of Carol F. Jandt and Daniel H. Miller.
Jim was a lover of music. He enjoyed finding new music and sharing his discoveries with his friends and family. He often called his sister, Laura in the middle of the night with a new song he had found. He loved going to live concerts, always one to get up and dance. He could recognize a song in just a few notes and always knew the artist and title.
He was also a math whiz, doing mental math faster than most people could add on a calculator. He put these skills to good use during his days as a door-to-door salesman, calculating sales tax on the spot. It also helped him while playing the card and board games he enjoyed.
Jim loved to entertain, often grilling for the whole apartment complex where he last lived in Marinette. His easy going manner and banter will be missed by many.
Jim is survived by his longtime companion, Catherine Rebman, mother, Carol Jandt, sisters, Sharon Smith(Neal), Laura Curry, nephews, Eric Henschel(Mahalia) and Matthew Smith, nieces, Jennifer and Emily Curry, step-son, Paul Kaiser(Amy) and grandchildren Isabella, Paul Jr., Eliana and Christian Kaiser and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Erna Miller and Robert and Frances Tracy, his father and step-mother, Daniel and Suzanne Miller, step-father, Burton Jandt and brother-in-law, James Curry.
The family is hosting a Celebration of Life on Sunday, November 26, 2023 beginning 4:30 pm at Chissy's Pub & Grill, 215 WI-28, Waldo WI.
