James F. Marenda

Born to eternal life and joined his beloved wife, Judith (nee Orlowski) on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, age 86 years. Loving dad of Gregory Marenda, Laura (David Slivicki) Mac Cudden. Kathy (Roger) Hajek and Ann Marenda. Proud grandpa of Victoria, Nick, Michael, Tommy, Mathew, Nathan and the late Ryan. Dear great-grandpa of Sophia. Long time companion of Barbara. Also survived by other family and many close and dear friends.

Jim was retiree of Rockwell Automation, a United States Army Reservist and the owner of the former St. Francis Liquor Store. Outside of work Jim was very active, member of the Grant Park Senior Golf League, the South Side Scholarship Foundation and the Old Time Ballplayers Association of Wisconsin. Golf was a definitely a passion for Jim, and he used that to run the "Father and Son" Golf outing for 25 plus years and for 15 plus years a golf outing benefiting JDRF. Jim was also active at Immaculate Conception Church, coaching Cub Scout softball, grade school basketball, youth hardball and the church's Dart Ball team. A sincere thank you to the Advanced Care nurses and staff at Froedtert Hospital, the Horizon Hospice nurses and staff and the staff of Synergy caregivers for your care for Jim and his family.

Visitation on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, 10:30AM-12:30 PM at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, 1023 E. Russell Ave., Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society and St Jude's Hospital for Children.
