Died Saturday, July 15, 2017. Age 91 years. Beloved husband of 72 years to Marion (nee Heil). Dear father of Rachelle (Kenneth) Hagen, James Jr (Melanie) and Steven (Roberta) Marek. Further survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 (1 on the way) great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; Richard (Theresa) and Gerald (Donna), and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his sister Marian (the late Kenneth) Cox. Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, July 24, 2017 from 9:00-10:30AM. Funeral Service at 10:30AM. Entombment and military honors to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Jim proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII and then attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BSEE in 1950. He retired after 35 years of service from the Power Systems Division of Cooper Industries (formerly McGraw Edison and Line Material Companies). During his career he designed high voltage fuses and surge arrestors. Jim was a member of the High Voltage Fuse Subcommittee of IEEE, NEMA Fuse Subcommittees and ANSI Fuse Subcommittee. He remained an active member of these committees for many years after his retirement. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimers Association or the American Cancer Society.
