Died peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Age 96 years. Beloved husband of the late Betty (nee Hupy). Loving father of Diane Lentscher Mayorga, the late Michael Lentscher, Thomas (Tina) Lentscher, Peter (Kim) Lentscher, Susan (Bob) Cherek and Mark Lentscher. Jim is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Jim and Betty will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Jim was a graduate of Bay View High School and proudly served his country in U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He married his wife Betty in 1950 and they were married for 63 years until her passing in 2013. Jim was a retiree of the City of Milwaukee. Throughout his life Jim enjoyed gardening, playing tennis, bowling, browsing the internet and was quite the handyman. He was a Packer fan since Bart Starr. More than anything Jim was dedicated to his family and many canine friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim's name may be made to Aurora at Home Zilber Family Hospice.
