James H. Krawczyk

Jim passed away from natural causes at his home in Bay View, WI at the age of 81. He was born in Milwaukee on December 6, 1942, to the late Thaddeus and Frances (Trzuskowski) Krawczyk and born into eternal life on August 7, 2024. Jim attended Milwaukee Boys Technical High School, followed by Milwaukee Area Technical College. He had a 30-year career at Unit Drop Forge and was an active member of UAW Local 407. After he retired, he started his own business as an independent insurance agent. Upon discovering his love for cooking, Jim enjoyed picking up work as a cook.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. While in the service, he met Thuy (Pham), who became the love of his life. After his tour, he returned to Vietnam to marry her in 1970. The couple was blessed to travel back to Vietnam several times. Throughout his life, Jim enjoyed woodworking, fishing, cooking, music, literature and writing poetry. Other hobbies included raising homing pigeons, refereeing soccer and playing the guitar. He was a devout Catholic and lifelong parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Bay View. He selflessly devoted many years caring for his wife after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 54 years; his children: Jill Andres, Jason Krawczyk, and Jon (Jennifer) Krawczyk; his grandchildren: Celeste, Macy, McHugh, Lana, and Maximus. Further survived by former son-in-law Simon Andres, nephews, nieces, other family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Carol (Bruce) Berg and his canine companion, Marley.

Memorial visitation Friday, August 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, 1023 E. Russell Ave. Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM. After Mass, military honors will be rendered for Jim with a luncheon to follow. Tribute donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
