Irene K. Zalewski

(nee Ulbing) Born to eternal life and joined her beloved husband, Edwin, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, age 95 years. Loving mom of Jim (Yvonne), Larry, Tom (Linda) and Mark (Jane) Zalewski and Amy (Jason) Stenglein. Proud grandma of Kathy (Pete) Block, Kristin (Joe) Brojanac, Karie (Pat) Schrader, Nikki Zalewski, Candice Zalewski, Jason (Emily) Zalewski, Brian (Torrie) Boduch and Eric (Sunjem) Grow. Dear great-grandma of Aaliyah, Caleb, Kendall, Olivia, Violet, Noah, Remi and Parker. Also survived by other family and friends.

Irene made many friends during her decades of involvement with the parish and neighborhood in and around St. Helen's Church. She will be fondly remembered for her love for reading and her dedication to her family.

Memorial visitation on Friday, November 29, 2024, 9-10:30 AM at St. John Paul II Parish, 3329 S. 10th Street, Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Private inurnment St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Irene's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
