Popp, Irene (nee Bautzmann) was Born to Eternal Life on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the age of 86. Irene was united with the love of her life, her husband Joe. Loving mother of the late Karen (late Chuck) Cokain, Larry, Debbie, Steve (Patricia) and Randy (Christine) Popp. Cherished grandmother of Kevin, Conner, Daisy, and Aydan. Preceded in death by her sister Hilde and brother Wally. Survived by sister Marilynn and brothers Paul and Ralph. A private memorial will be held. Irene's family brought her great joy. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by them on holidays, up north during the summer, on the annual "Popp Family Vacation" or just sitting at the kitchen table chatting with whoever stopped by. She was very proud of her career as a RN and later of the company she and Joe started out of their home, Akrit Sales and Service. Irene was the driving force behind Akrit and Joe. It made her happy to see her sons and grandsons carry on the legacy. After she and Joe retired, her days were spent reading, a favorite past time, and of course keeping Joe in line. Irene's gentle, loving, and accepting ways touched all who were fortunate to know her. We miss you, Mom.
