Passed away peacefully to the Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Born on April 20, 1922 in Tigerton, WI to Mary and Emil Michaelis. The 10th of 12 children, Irene is the last surviving sibling. Precious aunt of James (Cynthia) Plennes, Arthur (Barbara) Plaster and Elmer (Sharon) Michaelis. She is further survived by other dear nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many wonderful and loving family, friends and neighbors. For over 30 years Irene was instrumental to the operations of Plennes Inc. a commercial construction company. She spent many years as President of LaCasa Condo Assoc., and President of the Board of Governors of Tuckaway. A devoted volunteer of her church, Martin Luther High School and City of Greenfield. Irene enjoyed hiking, traveling, golf and most of all, her 48 years of bowling. She was also a member of the Quarter Century Bowling Club, Best Friends Club and Greenfield Glamour Girls as well as the Red Hat Society. Visitation Friday, June 10, 2016 from 9:30 11 AM at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5901 Westway Greendale, WI. Funeral Service at 11 AM. Private entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park.
