(nee Nagy) Of Custer, South Dakota passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014. Age 80 years. Loving mother of Maureen Ervin, Dorian Keller and Brian (Colette) Ervin. Cherished grandmother of Alexandra, Jaimee, Christopher, Elek and Zoe. Dear sister of Helen Granata and Elek Nagy Jr. Preceded in death by her treasured friends Raymond and Barbara Ervin. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Visitation at the Funeral home WEDNESDAY, December 10, 2014 from 4-7 PM. Service of Remembrance at 7 PM. Private interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Irene was born in Hungary and immigrated to America as a child. Her life was one big adventure. She was a free spirit and fiercely independent. She enjoyed gardening, travel, reading, movies, NPR and had a passion for all things art and history. She loved telling stories and time spent with family and friends.
